Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AM–10 PM. Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I absolutely love this kind of food! The place was a bit quiet when I arrived, it was past lunchtime, so that made sense. As soon as I sat down, the staff was very welcoming. Even though there was a bit of a language barrier, the service was still warm and attentive. Watching them cook behind the curtain honestly made the whole experience feel even more special. Right after my food arrived, the place started to fill up. It’s a small spot, but perfectly located and really charming. The ribs, bok choy, garlic eggplant, and corn were all incredible, seriously, so flavorful. Even though I ordered the mild option, it still had that perfect touch of spice. Everything was delicious. I’ll definitely be back soon. θ°’θ°’

Went here spontaneously just to fill my stomach as I was craving some spicy skewers and I really enjoyed the food here! The skewers were amazing, although I will say some of the meat pieces were a bit tougher than the others. I really enjoyed the Taiwanese sausage and I thought that it was seasoned perfectly! Service was minimal but friendly. The only thing I would change about this place is that it’s way too quiet inside. It felt a little awkward coming here by myself in the middle of the day eating in complete silence. I think it would be nice for them to play some music instead of having to listen to the mundane sounds coming from outside. Other than that, the atmosphere is just a regular casual interior that you would expect for a place where you can get some quick filling food.

The food was a little overcooked for my taste (a bit dry), as I prefer it juicier and more tender. However, the beef short rib was the best I've ever hadβ€”a definite must-try! It might look overdone on the outside, but it’s very tasty inside. Will be back!

Wow! The flavors added to the skewers make the taste better, it is definitely moderate to spicy. I like their sausage skewer in particular. The portions are big for the price it’s worth!

Classic Chinese barbecue experience, with lots of cumin on meat and vegetable skewers. I loved the chives, king oyster mushrooms and pork intestines, but I’d skip the sausage the next time. The fried rice is surprisingly very good, and comes with wok hei. The appetizers are standard for Sichuanese fare, with century egg tofu cold dish and cucumber tripes, which I can do or do without. I think the barbecue is definitely fitting for people who are used to tasting a lot of cumin on their food, but may not be for everyone.
